Chautauqua Lake's outlet, the Chadakoin River traverses the city of Jamestown, where you can walk, jog, or bike along the winding path of the Riverwalk trail. Enjoy the riverside McCrea Point, Jackson-Taylor (Chadakoin), or Comedy Center Parks, or follow the river to the neighboring village of Falconer, where you'll find Abe Mattison Millrace Park and its nearby nature trails, canoe launch, picnic area, pedestrian walkways, and bridges.
Before you leave the city, you'll want to cross the Chadakoin River on the magnificent, newly constructed pedestrian bridges, and catch a glimpse of the Warner Dam. Visit in the spring to see the river turn green each year for St. Patrick's Day, a must for families.
At McCrea Point Park, you can launch your boat, fish, enjoy the playground, or gather at the picnic tables or pavilion. Book a Jamestown History Tour on the Chautauqua Belle, or kayak, take in picturesque views, bird watch, and spot an abundance of wildlife along the river.
The Chadakoin River joins Cassadaga Creek in the small community of Levant before flowing into Conewango Creek.
