The Spencer Hotel is a four-story interior corridor hotel and was the first literary-themed hotel in the United States that has dedicated its guest rooms to famous authors which is themed from the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle, the oldest continuously operating book club in the country and was founded in 1882. Room amenities include antique decor and colorful murals in the style of each author. Some offer sitting areas, kitchenettes, whirlpool tubs, and/or access to Victorian-style furnished porches.
