Enjoy Lake Erie fishing, a boat launch, and picnic facilities at City Pier Park - Dunkirk Harbor. Located on the lakefront of Lake Erie, this city park is open all year and features Music on the Pier and more great events all summer. Dunkirk Harbor is also home to one of Chautauqua County's five new ADA accessible kayak launches.
No visit is complete without a stop to the Boardwalk Market for a bite to eat and some gifts. The city pier, off of Central Avenue, has public parking and sightseeing opportunities. Nearby Memorial Park is a beautiful lakeside park dedicated to the city’s veterans.
Birders flock to Dunkirk Harbor. Sightings of more than 200 bird species have been recorded, including 14 species of gulls, 40 species of ducks, geese, swans, grebes, and loons, Bald Eagles, and more.
