Balloon pilots from all over marvel at the beauty our region has to offer, Chautauqua Lake, surrounded by rolling hills, dotted with quaint farms, offer a panorama that is second to none.
Sky Sail Balloons has been operating as a ride company since 1989. Geoff Turner, the chief pilot, has been flying since 1988. Sky Sail Balloons operates state-of-the-art, US-Registered aircraft with a current airworthiness certificate. Sky Sail has an excellent safety record. Geoff has acted as Balloon Meister (chief balloon operations officer) for several local balloon events.
Because of the exclusive and private nature of this activity, prior planning is frequently a must. Weekends are often booked weeks in advance, particularly during the peak season, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
