Strider Field track and field event areas are rubberized all-weather surfaces. The seating capacity is 3,000 on the finish straight and 1,000 on the back straight. Shot and discus areas are concrete with asphalt walkways.
Strider Field is one of the premier athletic facilities in New York State. Strider Field was built in 1990, and has been the center of track and field activity in southwestern New York. Strider Field has hosted major high school and championship meets. Several improvements to the facility and upgrades keep Strider Field a prime location for both athletes and spectators to enjoy track & field.
Strider Field is Jamestown High School's home of football, soccer and track, which had new artificial turf and 8-lane track installed in 2017. In addition, this facility also includes a grass soccer stadium, 2 newly renovated baseball fields and 2 newly renovated softball fields as well as practice fields.
