The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra and Music School Festival Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Rossen Milanov, join forces with the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus for Mahler’s profound ‘Resurrection’ Symphony in a special side-by-side performance. This monumental work, one of Mahler’s most emotionally charged compositions, is a masterful journey from darkness to transcendent light and hope. Of the culminating moments Mahler wrote: “A feeling of overwhelming love fills us with blissful knowledge and illuminates our existence.”
