Multiple Grammy Award-winning conductor and Music Director of the Buffalo Philharmonic JoAnn Falletta joins the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra for a luminous evening. Her program with the CSO features the “refined and impassioned” (ArtsAtlanta) Canadian violinist Blake Pouliot in Erich Korngold’s cinematically virtuosic violin concerto. The concert closes with Dvorak’s radiant Symphony No. 6, a masterpiece of sweeping melodies and lively folk rhythms.
Program:
Erich Korngold: Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35
Antonin Dvorak: Symphony No. 6 in D major, B.112, Op. 60
