The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gardeners Program is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Gardening Symposium, taking place on Saturday May 3rd from 8:00 am to 12:45 pm at Jamestown Community College, Carnahan Center, 241 James St. Jamestown, New York 14701. This event brings together gardening enthusiasts, educators and experts to share their knowledge and inspire greener, more sustainable practices.
This year’s symposium features two dynamic keynote speakers:
• Sarah Sorci, who will explore the fascinating topic of native herbs and their role in sustainable gardening.
• Sally Cunningham, an area expert and favored speaker, will discuss native and pollinator plants, as well as the importance of habitat protection, and soil, plant and tree health.
In addition, a special School Gardens Panel will feature leaders from Jamestown public schools, providing insights and tips on gardening with children. The session will include a Q&A to engage attendees.
