This exhibit will showcase the contributions made to the war effort by the citizens of Jamestown. The businesses which contributed to the war that are still in operation today will be featured as well as the women’s and children’s role during this desperate time. Their contributions to the war effort were priceless in achieving victory for the United States and its allies. Discover how 26 local businesses, factories and organizations raised $65,000,000 in war bonds. See Jamestown as it was during WWII through photographs, artifacts, original military gear, as well as WWII era women’s and children’s clothing.
