Guided Tours Allow Visitors to Experience the Region through the Eyes and Expertise of a Local
The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy maintains several preserves that are open to the public year-round. Guided tours communicate the need to protect vital habitats for native plants and wildlife, and to preserve the ecological function of our watershed. Evergreen Outfitters hosts weekly paddle tours of Chautauqua Lake and the Chadakoin River Outlet each summer. Guests are welcome to bring their own kayak or rent one. Fun and family-friendly programs are offered at the Audubon Community Nature Center and Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown throughout the year.
Long Point State Park and Lake Erie State Park host educational walks where you'll learn about birds of prey, butterflies, and more.
