For Western NY skiing - downhill and cross country - or other snow sports, head to a Western NY winter resort such as Peek’n Peak Resort and enjoy 26 slopes and trails, state-of-the-art snowmaking, eight chairlifts, five progressive terrain parks, and a renowned ski and snowboard school. There’s even a tubing area with seven lanes and a “Magic Carpet” lift that offers Lunar Lights tubing at night.
Cross country skiers and snowshoers will also find opportunities at the Chautauqua-Lake Erie Region's multi-use trail systems including, Long Point State Park, Lake Erie State Park, Boutwell Hill State Forest, the Eastside and Westside Overland Trails, Chautauqua Institution, Jamestown Audubon Community Nature Center, Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy, Rails to Trails, and Roger Tory Peterson Institute.
