Cassadaga Lakes is comprised of three interconnecting glacial lakes, Upper Cassadaga Lake, Middle Cassadaga Lake and Lower Cassadaga Lake. These waters are home to great fishing and wildlife spotting opportunities. Fish species present in the lakes include largemouth bass, northern pike, smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed, bluegill, muskellunge, black crappie, yellow perch and brown bullhead. Lucky visitors may spot bald eagles, beavers, great horned owls, mute swans, osprey or painted turtles.
Other recreation opportunities including boating, canoeing and kayaking. At one sweeping glance you may spot boaters, swimmers and anglers all enjoying the lakes at the same time.
Public boat launching and fishing access is provided at a DEC operated site located at the north end of Middle Cassadaga Lake, on Glasgow Road. The facility has a hard surface ramp and parking for 20 cars and trailers.
The lakeside Cassadaga Public Beach, located on Park Avenue, is open seasonally.
