There are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails in Chautauqua County, meaning hours of endless adventures await. No matter which trail you choose to explore there are always breathtaking views of winter scenery and great options to stop for warm meal or to grab a drink along the way.
Like many other winter activities, snowmobiling trails rely on cooperation from Mother Nature to be able to be used, therefore it is best to check the status of trails prior to going for a ride. Next time the trials are open try out one of these suggested rides.
Findley Lake – Snowmobile Trails S45, C4F, and C4D
Ride a large loop around picturesque Findley Lake on snowmobile trails S45, C4F, and C4D. While on trail S45, stop by Our Own Candle Co. and look around the quaint shop for unique candles and other gifts. Once you’ve worked up your appetite, Pine Junction is a favorite for local and visiting snowmobilers alike. Complete the loop and pass by Peek’n Peak Resort, stop in for some more winter fun of snowboarding, skiing or snowtubing.
Cassadaga Lakes – Snowmobile Trails C4, C4C, S40A
Take relaxing ride on trail C4 through Stockton and around Cassadaga Lakes. Complete the loop via snowmobile trails C4C and S40A. On your ride back through Stockton, grab a bite to eat at the Stockton Hotel, a popular spot for snowmobilers.
Chautauqua Lake – Snowmobile Trails C4, C4E, and C4A
Enjoy a ride around the northern half of Chautauqua Lake. Start in Mayville at Webb's Captain's Table, a staple for snowmobilers, then hop on Trail C4. As you make your way around the lake don’t forget to grab a locally made craft brew at Big Inlet Brewing as you curve around the northern portion of the lake. Continue down trail C4E for some smooth riding. Warm up at Guppy’s Tavern with some great food, drinks and company. Not ready to head back home just yet? Just a few more minutes down trail C4A take the connection to the Bemus Point Golf Club Tap House for one of their 20 beers on tap and delicious craft style food that will warm you from head to toe after a long day of riding the trails.
